Marc Abrams SenseiMarc Abrams Sensei

Marc began training in martial arts and fighting sports in 1973. He started training in Aikido with Shizuo Imaizumi, Shihan in 1988 and currently holds the rank of Godan. Marc opened the first Aikido Arts of Shin-Budo Kai dojo in Bedford Hills, NY in January of 2007, and he is currently opening a second dojo in Napa, CA. He continues to train directly under Imaizumi Sensei, and has been attending seminars taught by Dan Harden (Sangen founder) since 2009. He also trains under Kenji Ushiro Shihan and holds the rank of Shodan in Ushiro Karate.



Brad Gould SenseiBrad Gould Sensei

Brad is one of Marc Abrams Sensei’s first generation of students. Brad had trained in other martial arts beginning in 1979, and he first tried Aikido in 2003. He returned to Aikido in 2008 and currently holds the rank of Shodan. He continues to train regularly under both Marc Abrams Sensei and with Shizuo Imaizumi, Shihan (founder of Shin-Budo Kai).  To deepen his understanding of the underlying principles of Aikido, Brad has followed Marc Abrams Sensei’s path and has been attending seminars taught by Dan Harden (Sangenkai founder) since 2010. Brad’s teaching incorporates these internal power and aiki principles into Aikido.



Bruce May SenseiBruce May Sensei

Bruce began practicing Aikido at the Shin-Budo Kai hombu dojo in 1996 under Shizuo Imaizumi, Shihan. In 2009 he began practicing at AASBK under Marc Abrams Sensei. He currently holds the rank of Shodan. His teaching is reflective of his many years of Aikido practice, law enforcement experience, and meditation practice. In addition to teaching Aikido, he conducts special classes on test preparation, self defense, Genkido, and meditation.
